This is my new summer dress from Advance 9720 size 12, one of my patterns from my colossal pattern find. (634 of them for 100$)

I am usually a 14 so I did not know if this would fit, so I added about half inch to the bodice, and then it ended up being too big, so I cheated and added a little pleat to the top of the bodice(top picture) and now it fits much better. It fits pretty well, I think if I hadn't messed with it, the pattern would have been just right.

I think I would make this again, maybe out of a heavier fabric, so it didn't need lined.

The material is some from my friend's big find on Craigslist: 15 boxes of old fabric for 50 dollars! I came home with 6 boxes of it.

I lined the whole dress with red cotton, as the white is very see through, I like the way it looks, but the skirt is a bit heavy, and thought it might be too warm, but I wore it yesterday to my sister in law's baby shower, with 90 degree weather and it wasn't uncomfortably hot, so I think all in all its a good summer dress!

The pattern was pretty easy to use, but instead of gathering the skirt(I did, and it looked really bulky on the bodice, perhaps because of the lining), I pleated it, which I like alot more than gathers anyways.

I made my own belt from the red lining and the dress fabric, plus an old buckle my mom picked up at a thrift store, she gave me a whole bag of them!

All in all I'm pleased with this pattern, if I make it again, I would make wider straps, these are pretty flimsy, but other than that its a great summery dress.
