Butterick 4790 help
I thought I'd get my dress done in time but being the novice sewist I am, it still takes longer than I anticipate. Anyways, I need a little help from the veteran Butterick 4790 sewists out there. I've put together all the parts of the dress and I'm stuck on hems. For the circle skirt, it says to make a 5/8" narrow hem, but I cannot understand the directions for the narrow hem for the life of me. My intuition tells me to fold up 1-1/4 inches, then take the raw edge and fold it down into the crease creating a 5/8" hem. Does this sound right? And also for the sheath part of the dress, why type of hem did you sew?
