Okay, so I finished the retro beach party outfits back on July 15, we wore them to the party, and our costumes won! Unfortunately, the only picture we have is absolutely awful. This is partly because we asked the wrong person to take the picture, and partly because the fabrics don't photograph well. In person they were totally cute. We stopped by Whole Foods on the way to the party and people were stopping us in the aisles to ask us about our outfits. I may wear the skirt again a couple of times before the summer ends, just for grins.
I will try to get around to putting the skirt and top on my dressform and getting a better shot that way.
At any rate, here is a picture, such as it is. Please ignore our flushed and shiny faces (Mai Tais on a hot Houston night, not so good for photogenicity...).
