I sewed this skirt at the very strong recommendation of a friend - even though I didn't get to see the skirt she sewed because she gave it away as a gift before I could..
Basically, it is just a rectangle wrapped around with an apron style waistband. I tried it on myself and I suppose if my daughter really wanted to she could wear it as an apron when she becomes a mommy someday.
I must say I am VERRRRY pleased. I will be making more of these and probably in other lengths and embellishments.
