Retro Modern Deconstruction

Hey, remember that cool Diagonal Flared Skirt pattern from the 70's that was posted here a while ago?
I made it!

This is that skirt pattern from the 70's where you cut strips of fabric and sew them together. Then you cut it out on the bias making a unique diagonal flared skirt. I've been trying to sew a plain khaki skirt but was bored with the thought of it. Then I saw this. I made it interesting by sewing the seams inside out so they would fray. I also did not finish the hem and let that fray too. I think I may have to make another one of these out of old jeans. That would be cute! Started on July 5th, 2008 and completed July 6th, 2008.
ETA-this cotton I used has been through the wash at least 10 times and is still the wrinkliest, stiffest fabric ever! LOL
