This is my silk charmeuse raglan dress!Hello, my name is Karen. I am so pleased to be a contributing writer to the Sew Retro blog! I love to sew and earned a degree in fashion design at Parsons in New York City where I currently live. I worked as an assistant designer for a several years on Seventh Avenue for Rebecca Taylor before starting my own line. I had my own boutique in Brooklyn for 5 years selling my label, Ouvrez La Porte, and other independent labels. I closed that shop last fall and now I concentrate on selling vintage clothing, as well as my own retro inspired creations online. With my own creations, I will either make my own patterns, or vary vintage ones. I will be sharing my process here very soon!
