Hi, my name is Leslie, and I recently discovered Sew Retro. The timing was great because I was just antique shopping with my mom and found this incredible box of vintage patterns, and thought, "Aww... I would love to get into making clothes again."
I am an avid quilter, and my previous attempts at making clothes (skirts mostly) weren't so successful, but I think a lot of it had to do with the fact that my sewing teacher at the time was about 76 years old and not so much into any waistlines below the third or fourth rib! So I gave up and went back to quilting.
I'm looking forward to learning from this blog and posting any successes and failures I may have. Thanks for letting me join!
