Veronica Darling's post today on the ever-so-lovely dress she made from a bedsheet reminded me that I have a recent project to post.
I've always loved the look of vintage square dance dresses, and when an old bedsheet with a western-looking design came into my possession I decided to give the project a try. I didn't have a pattern, so I just looked at the covers of various vintage patterns online to get an idea of how they go together and hoped it would turn out all right. :)
One of the fun things about sewing with bedsheets are the borders that they often have.... perfect for using as the hem of the skirt!
