Hello there!

I've just joined you all here at sew retro because I felt it was about time I came out of the closet about my huge secret stash of vintage dressmaking patterns.
This is the first pattern I ever made and it's a little jiffy A-line number. The sewing was extremely easy and I used fabric that I thought I would never use as it was quite a heavy/ thick cotton check. I'm not brave enough to wearthis jiffy dress without a belt because it has a little bit too much extra fabric bulk around the back of my shoulders and the belt pulls it in nicely.

I also buy old vintage clothing sometimes and this is a 1945 dress made by Henry Haskin in Melbourne.

Cheers,
happy retro sewing!
Allison
