Cruising right along...

I've been really remiss in my work. I've negelected my projects for my cruise because I have buttonhole-a-phobia. I'm pretty sure there's a pharmaceutical for it (plenty of booze), but it's contraindicated with the meds I'm currently on. So I went three weeks without sewing anything but the hems of the towels for my daughter's dance recital. I did get the serger working, though.

Anyhow, I felt GUILTY for not finishing it. You know how it goes. You have the project on the dress form and it's staring at you accusingly. So I bit the bullet. I offered up supplications and offerings to the Buttonhole Gods that I wouldn't screw it up royally. I stopped just short of sacrificing something on the altar of Singer Sewing Machines... And holy crow... It WORKED. For the first time in my life, I made butthonholes plural. Not one, not two, but SIX perfectly aligned, perfectly matched picture perfect buttonholes.

You can't see them in this blog post, but they are there. And my almost 7 year old took the picture. Wish me luck on finding the right belt. I've been looking for a month.
