I have almost completed construction on a darling little dress for my younger sister Sylvie (8). Sylvie has been asking me for awhile to make her an "olden-day" dress, so we sat down together and picked out a pattern and fabric. She helped pin the pattern and cut it out, and even did a little stitching!
All that needs to be done now is to sew on the buttons and make buttonholes. Here is a picture of the dress so far (sorry, it's a little blurry) and the pattern I used to make it. I'll post a picture of Sylvie wearing the dress once it is finished!
