( I apologise for the bizaar pose. it's sort of a private joke.)This pattern was a joy to make. I used emroidered cotton, and covered buttons to go with the bound buttonholes. It would be at more of an advantage with a crinoline, but I don't have one I *enjoy* wearing. Being uncomfortable sort of defeats the purpose.
