A while ago the gorgeous Enken, a fellow Aussie seamstress posted this dress - a gorgeous vintage frock using vintage frenchy fabric.
I instantly fell in love with it, but knew I would never possess such gorgeous fabric, given its vintage history. But I did think I might like a frenchy dress of my very own, so when I saw this Michael Miller Eiffel Tower fabric, I knew it was meant to be!!
The pattern is a few different ones morphed together. The bodice is princess-seamed and kind of sits out over my shoulders like a little cap sleeve. The skirt is pleated in large pleats. I'm wearing a crinoline under it -- I love how full it looks! I'll be telling more of the frenchy fun dress tale with a few more pictures over at my blog if you'd like to see more!
