I made this dress from Advance pattern 4889, a lovely 40s style! The fabric is a lovely, flowing 40s rayon, perfect for this type of dress!
One of my favorite design elements in 40s clothing is scalloped edged. I just love the scalloped sleeves and scalloped neckline on this dress:
Oh and I've finally crossed the sewing threshold of bound buttonholes and now I'm totally in love! Tey give such a neat, finished look.
