I recently acquired a large tub of fabrics and trims from the 60s and 70s at a thrift shop. Among the double knit polyesters and silky psychedelics, I found 6 pattern pieces which had been cut out but never sewn.
I was able to figure out which pieces formed the bodice, the skirt, the collar and the sleeves and sewed the fabric together. It was a very fun project - not knowing exactly what the finished product was going to look like was the best part.
The result of sewing blind? A groovy pink babydoll dress circa 1972!
