Introduction

Hi everyone, I was just invited to join Sew Retro. I'm looking forward to working with vintage patterns and posting about the experience. Like many of the others on this blog, I've been scouring Ebay and Etsy for vintage patterns in my size, and I was lucky enough to win a giveaway at the HemLine.
I'm very much a beginner in my skill set, but I'm motivated and do everything I can to find time to sew between prepping for AP tests, scholarship applications, running a tutoring company, and working with Scottsdale Sister Cities Association. Yep, still in high school!

I made this drindle-style skirt from a pillowcase I found at Goodwill, dated 1957. I love the treetrunk print, it's one of my favorite skirts now. There is more about this skirt and some of my other projects on my blog. Thoughts, comments and tips are always appreciated
