Introduction

Hello, I'm Janice. I'm a self-taught sewer and have been sewing for about five months. I've always been intrigued by vintage patterns and garment construction details and I use vintage patterns or vintage-inspired patterns when I sew, preferably from the 40s-50s. I've been frustrated by ready to wear clothing for the past few years now, and have been transitioning my wardrobe to include homemade or thrifted clothes. My misadventures are documented on my blog, She's in Fashion. I've been a lurker at the Sew Retro community and have found it to be an incredible source of inspiration and am glad to join.
