I had this 1970's pattern for a top that resembled a picnic blanket, I took the idea and changed it to suit a better fabric and style.
i used a rolled hem foot (not sure if that's the right name?) anyway i was really pleased with the finish it gave ! Not quite finished hand sewing the ends of the ties
the top goes on over the head and has ties under the arms. I just wear a little strappy top unerneath of my bathers.
