I know Christmas is past, but my main gifts to my niece and nephew this year were both vintage toys. For Evie, I made a baby doll and her wardrobe from a 30s mail order pattern. I used velcro on the clothes for fastening for the most part instead of snaps and buttons. Here's the result--
This was my only update to the pattern--I made the diaper from fleece and used velcro to fasten it instead of ties. I made the slip, too... I just didn't take a picture of it.
And here's Jeron's turtle from a McCalls' 1970s pattern--
It combines his favorite things, turtles and tractors!
We were doing a pajama Christmas and made jammies for everybody. Evie and the newest member of the family, Alina, got matching jammies. One from the 80s, and the other from the 90s.
And last but not least, Jeron's tractor pajamas from a 1947 pattern. The collar is a bit odd, and they turned out a little big, but they're now his favorites... 17 buttons holding them together and everything!
