Since seeing Mary's stunning outfits on Downton Abbey a few months ago, I queued up a modified version of her striped gown for my Colette Spring Palette Challenge.
I have finally completed the outfits I have planned, and finished with the striped Spring dress. I used a Sense and Sensibility Edwardian gown pattern and made some modifications.
I love the way it came out, though I'm actually tempted to try a version more closely matching Mary's gown. I just need to find the right stripes. The small green stripes didn't have the same effect but I think still turned out great for a fun Spring dress.
