The idea was to make somewhat of a replica of a navy and brown Joset Walker dress from 1948. Unfortunately I came to the conclusion that it wasn't really flattering on me so I made the top bit to a halter neck instead. I used the Simplicity 4648 pattern for the skirt but ruched the hem instead of pleating it. I wanted to keep some elements of the dress I originally wanted to make by having the fabric cross at the back. The result is ok but I'm not overwhelmed with joy. I also noticed from these pictures that the front was pulling a bit so I adjusted it slightly afterwards.
I'm still thinking of adding pockets - navy on brown and brown on navy. What do you think?
