A great locally owned fabric store called Fabrique has hosted a remnant challenge here in Dallas for the last 2 years. This year, I made a mock wrap skirt for their contest using one of my vintage patterns from 1977. I made my skirt out of ultrasuede and decorated it with a cutwork design inspired by Mexican papel picado banners. I think the simple shape of the skirt worked really well for showing off the design.
