Hi all! Here in on the Texas Gulf Coast, Spring has sprung, and I finally got photos of some of my recent vintage sewing projects. This dress was made from Simplicity 4294, from 1942, in a golden yellow gingham I bought at my local fabric store. I had to re-do the bodice after many silly mistakes, but the second time around went better and I'm happy with the final result. I blogged about the dress when I finished it here and there are more photos of it here (plus some info about the vintage camera I'm holding). My one regret with this dress is that I skipped interfacing the waist band, and I really shouldn't have. I used an extra layer of fabric, but it needed a little more oomph than that!
