Here's Simplicity 4238 from the 1950's made up in navy gingham.
The pattern has some lovely details: tucks at the front and back plus two neck darts. It’s also naturally longer than a lot of 1950’s patterns, which often tend to be on the short side.
Apart from attaching the collar (which stretched my mental powers somewhat) it was a nice, easy pattern. I’ll almost certainly use it again to make a second version.
