Hello World!
I've been sewing off and on for about 20 years, but in really earnest for the last 10. When I was in college I started making costumes for the renaissance festival. But sewing for renaissance festival left me feeling like I had little return on my investment. I put months of work into a piece, only to wear it a few weekends of the year.
About a year ago I made the decision to start making my own clothing. Through an inspirational Google Search, I discovered Gertie's Blog for Better Sewing. Through her site I discovered the Fedora Lounge. Additional google searches led me here. I've been lurking for quite a while, but as my wedding drew closer, I didn't really have as much time to devote to sewing as I previously had (hence the lack of recent projects to post).
Now the wedding is over and I get to return to my creative outlet of sewing.
I maintain a blog at http://www.mirandafern.com/ . I write about a whole range of topics pertaining to maintaining a retro lifestyle. Please stop by and look around.
I look forward to joining your network of talented individuals.
