This Style pattern is made in the same year I was born - 1977 - so I though it kinda ironic and fitting to make it to wear whilst I'm pregnant with my first child; it's like a full circle of sewing. Anyway, I made the red version in the centre of the pattern, the cowl neck version with sleeves. The pattern is designed for wovens such as cotton, crepe and lightweight wools, but being pregnant and rapidly expanding I made it from a stretchy cotton jersey. I cut the front and back skirt panels on the fold, omitted the centre back zipper and added a bit extra fabric across the front by putting two little pleats in.
