retro nightgown

I finished this nightgown yesterday morning. I have the robe cut out and ready to sew, but am lacking the motivation to work on it right now!

I used vintage Butterick pattern 4096 which I think is from the late 1970s or early 80s. My plan was to the use the antique crochet lace, but I couldn't bear to, so I settled on something newer.

The fabric is a very soft cotton-jersey knit, that I got in a huge box of fabric for $1 at a yard sale! The color is unusual for a nightgown, but the feel is wonderful!

I am currently working on projects utilizing my fabric and pattern stash.

You can read more about this and other projects at my blog, The Hem Line.
