This is a slightly modified version of the Butterick 4699 which is from the mid 1960's.
I had previously attempted this in January and failed miserably - mainly because it was a little big and long.
I made this in corduroy and decided that it would be a cross between a dress (I like my dresses more fitted) and a coat.
I think it works well with the new length (maybe I'm short as the photo on the pattern cover does hover around the knees, whereas my first attempt was way too long!)
More on my blog.
Have a great week!
