I made this 1954 girl's apron up last week -- without any pattern! (It's Simplicity 7091, view C.) Using the images I got from COPA in a pattern search I reconstructed it full-size (well, full size 5 for my daughter!) and sewed it up. She loves it so much, I've got a 2nd one cut out already. I was really pleased with the result, especially since I can't draft patterns at all. Very exciting, and I hope to experiment more! Details and long math-y explanation of the process are on my blog.
