Question about darts and chiffon

I am going to be making this dress view 2.

The lining or inner dress will be made of this fabric and I plan on adding the darts as directed by the pattern.

I am going to make a pink chiffon overlay and sleeves for the dress (don't really know what the heck I am doing, but I have a vision in my head). I don't want to put darts in the chiffon as it will ruin the look. Can I just pin them up in the tissue/pattern and cut the chiffon without them? Are there any other suggestions?
