My First Fabric Haul ... What to do?

It didn't matter that my first is planned, a yellow stretch terry top ...

I still ended up with my first fabric haul in years:

Clockwise from top left, 1 1/2 yards of 45" 100% cotton print, 4 yards of 60" wide 100% rayon challis floral print (in two pieces)and 2 yards of 45" wide poly/cotton rainbow striped fabric. And the price was only $17.37.

I've chosen the patterns for the cotton print and poly/cotton stripe but I don't know what to do with the rayon challis. I'm thinking something from the late 1930's or early 1940's but I'm just not sure. Is this a good era for this print?

I've found so much inspiration on this blog: Laurie's simple and pretty dress as well as the great photo of her Nana on her blog, Rachel's comfy floral dress made from a 1942 nightgown pattern - smart girl, Cecili's green dress with the great sleeves, Mama Long's 1937 casual evening dress ... well, you get the idea.

I welcome your suggestions and please don't forget to vote on the pattern for my second - which may now become my third - project here. I'm trying to break the tie.

As always, thanks for all of the inspiration.

Happy Sewing!
