I finished this dress from a circa 1952 Butterick pattern over my Christmas holidays. Apparently, I am ready to skip on to Valentine's Day! Anyhow, it was a fun dress to make, and it came together very easily because I used the bodice of another pattern I'd worked out the fitting issues on as a starting point for my alterations on this one.
This dress is also lots of fun to twirl in, but I learned that I really shouldn't do that! I have a few more photos and comments over on my
blog.
PS -- It's not as warm here in Houston as my bare arms would imply. This dress will have to wait a few more months before it can be worn without a cardigan.
