How do you do?

Hi there clever ladies, I'm so pleased to be amongst such talent, you're all so inspiring. This is my first post here and I'm dead chuffed I tell you; dead chuffed. Anywho... here are my denim overalls I've made from two different patterns as well as the button-up blouse from another retro pattern, You can read more about this on my blog if you like.

Another one off the to do list...

I finally finished the trousers I started at Easter so that's 4 off my to do list! Hurrah!!

I love them, although I do really need to adjust the buttons a little as the waist is still a bit on the big side. Seriously, I'm not that much of a funny shape am I?!! These are the trousers from the 40s overalls pattern by Eva dress. Great trousers but I think when I make them again I will make the legs slightly narrower. I have small feet & they kinda disappear inside the cuffs!!

I'm also wearing the wrap shirt I made the other day. I didn't mention how awesome the fabric is did I? It has little strawberries on it :D

Overalls - Modified!

This morning, as the weather here has been so stupidly hot hot hot, I woke up with the idea that I would make a playsuit. So I did. It took me about 3 hours alltogether, and as I have misplaced my actual playsuit pattern, I used my overalls pattern. I am so pleased with them. I haven't yet decided if I will make proper turnups or leave them as they are. I also need to move the hip buttons (massive hips = large placket & buttons in the wrong place!!).

Voila!

In the process of writing a lovely little blog post with more information!

1940s overalls - Eva Dress Pattern

So this was one pattern I had been after for months & months. I absolutely fel in love with it the first time I saw it, but with shipping too, it was always too expensive for me. A friends aquired the pattern & leant me it so finally I got my overalls!!

I am so pleased with them, and they were easy to make too, I think I will have a pair in every colour! I am now working on the trousers from the same pattern, and just have the turnups to do. An absoluletly wonderful pattern!
